Release notes June 2021

This version is released on 8 June 2021 at 16:00 GMT+2

Changes for attendees

Show your live location (in Thola) to other attendees

Your live location in Thola is shared to other attendees in your Infopanel in all places where the infocard is shown:
  • Attendeelist
  • Calendar
  • Chat module
  • Hover over avatar

Use Microsoft Teams to enter your event with your SSO credentials of Microsoft 365 / Teams account

We created an application in the Microsoft Teams Marketplace to add Thola as a Teams tab. The event must be configured by an Event manager of Thola and from then all users in your organisation can access the event without the need to login.

Added Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) to secure your accounts even better

We added MFA using email or an Authenticator app for all users (attendees & Event organisers)

  3. After the event in the detailed report you will get a result how many people clicked on the button

Report extended with clicks on a button component

For each button component you can identify a reportname that will be logged and reported in the detailed event report.

  3. After the event in the detailed report you will get a result how many people clicked on the button

Live room updates

A user’s view on a room is automatically updated when changing a room in the dashboard after pressing on save.

This enables you to make last minute changes in the dashboard with immediate impact on the users. Do not overuse this feature because it can be strange for a user but very interesting to update small changes in a room.

Combine meetings with embedded content in a big screen component to create an auditorium

This enables you as an organiser to combine pre-recorded content hosted on a streaming platform with a Teams meeting to have a round table conversation afterwards in the same room.

for example:

  • 9u tot 9u30 => pre-recorded session on youtube
  • 9u30 tot 11u30 => workshop in Teams meeting
  • 11u30 tot 12u => youtube live session as closing
We also created a better way to switch between sessions in the dashboard.

Improved layout of the room list

  • Improved layout for people with smaller screens
  • Easier to switch between the visual editor and the forms editor
  • We remember the last editor used and a new room will be opened with this editor by default

Moved button to generate detailed report

The button moved from the tools window to the Analytics page

Extended our Announcement functionality

  • Links are clickable in announcements
  • Possibility to add a link to a specific room to guide people for example to the auditorium

Customization of Drop business card button

The business card button worked with a fixed layout. From now on you can customize this button type in the same way as other buttons. By using a custom icon and text or event with an image.
The identifier to show if you already dropped the business card is also updated

Organisation module

We added an extra module on organisation level. This module is accessible by clicking the settings wheel on the event selection page on the dashboard

  • Edit your billing information
  • Overview of all purchase orders
  • Overview of ticket consumption and number of tickets left or how many tickets will be invoiced
* Current customer’s data will be updated by the end of July

In addition we added a lot of extra small changes and fixed some small issues
