Interactive seminar with a tailor-made design, gamification and live streaming
After hosting many events for our clients, this time it was the other way around. On October 7th we organised our very first own Thola hybrid event. The goal of the ‘Connecting people in a hybrid world’ event was to create awareness and give lots of inspiration about the latest trends in hybrid working and organising hybrid events. The event kicked off with keynote sessions given by our founder, Anders and The Flow. During the closing networking session, the attendees could meet our partners Once Storytelling and Blue Moon.
Not only the quality of the keynote sessions, but also the unique design made me really enjoy the event. I strongly recommend Thola because of its original and user-friendly event experience!

Design
Our partner Once Storytelling created a custom-made design for this event. Since the theme of our event was ‘hybrid’, they created a hybrid office design. This means a unique combination of offices placed into a nature setting.The advantage of integrating a personlised design is that all your rooms, with all its elements and even all your avatars will be in the same style, which make them fit perfectly together. Gamification
To enrich the design, Once implemented lots of gamification into the rooms. On the one hand they included GIF images to make the design less static and more animated. For example: moving clouds, a ticking clock, a moving bird, flickering lights etc.
Next to that, they also created a hidden mystery room in which attendees could participate in a giveaway action.
Streaming
For the live streaming of our keynote sessions we collaborated with our partner Blue Moon. For this hybrid event, they set up a studio in our office in Kontich where our founder and The Flow presented live. Our other keynote speaker, Anders Sörman Nilsson, was called in via a Teams connection from Sydney, Australia. Our partner also supported us with a live Q&A during all the sessions.
Working with a professional live streaming partner enables you to make your sessions more dynamic because of alternating film shots.
For example: full focus on the speaker, full focus on the presentation or a shot with both the speaker and presentation included. For this event we worked with angles from two different cameras. Have a look behind the scenes by going through the pictures on the left side.
